Moorcroft landscape designs, most notably, William Moorcroft’s Moonlit Blue or Nicola Slaney’s Vale De Luna, hold an unmistakable dreamlike quality, where colour, form and glaze gently hint at the designer’s emotive world. William’s own Moonlit Blue is said to echo the forlorn melody of WWI.

With uplifting contrast, Ephemeral River embodies a river song from the beginning of time, where a river meanders rigorously through lines carved out by glaciers, sweeping away the 1920s Moonlit Blue trees, to reveal colossal scots pines with bitter-chocolate trunks, and clouded branches soaring into the ether. Dramatically, an amber and marmalade tinged sky seeps into the waters from above the ephemeral river, and the mountainous terrain is ignited by a new dawn of design on an epic scale.
