2024 is a leap year, and so we have a rare extra day in the month on the 29th February. There are lots of traditions surrounding leap days with the most well-known being that it was the day women could propose to men.

Certainly, refusing a woman on this day was strongly frowned upon, and there used to be laws forbidding it, though these were later softened to a law stating that any man refusing a woman’s leap day proposal must buy her a pair of gloves at Easter.

The Sunday Gloves vase features Daylily with its white loosely ruffled petals and highly fragrant blooms.
